About Our Caterers

Behind the Bash and The Bake Shoppe

Behind the Bash has set the standard for creative catering dedicated to the art of gracious entertaining. Since their beginning, they have searched for dynamic new cuisines, flavors and color combinations to enhance client events.  Every tabletop is a stage, and every occasion is an opportunity to present an unforgettable experience with food, styling and décor.

Melissa Newbould, owner of The Bake Shoppe and Cafe since 2009, has worked to put her personal stamp on the restaurant, whether it be through unique decor or decadent homemade desserts.  All of the food served at The Bake Shoppe is made fresh, from the bread used for sandwiches to the icing on top of the cupcakes. The cafe’s commitment to freshness stems from Newbould’s childhood when she would cook dinner for her family.  “Everything is homemade here, and I take a lot of pride in that.”
